Cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) focuses on how thinking patterns impact emotions and behaviour. It helps people identify, question, and change their thoughts, attitudes, and beliefs to reduce emotional and behavioral difficulties.
Modified CBT can be an effective treatment for individuals with ASD and anxiety. Key components of CBT include psychoeducation, exposure, and cognitive restructuring.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is a form of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy that focuses on helping individuals manage intense emotions and build healthier coping mechanisms. Through DBT, people learn to stay present in the moment, regulate strong emotions, tolerate distress, and improve their interpersonal relationships.
This therapy is designed to increase emotional resilience and support individuals in creating a balanced and fulfilling life.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) combines acceptance and mindfulness techniques with behavior change strategies to enhance psychological flexibility. This approach helps individuals accept their thoughts and feelings without judgment, stay present in the moment, and commit to actions aligned with their values. By building psychological flexibility, ACT supports people in overcoming challenges and living a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) helps families build trust, safety, and strong communication. By creating a secure environment where family members feel emotionally supported, EFFT encourages open discussion and the sharing of feelings. This approach fosters deeper connections, improves communication, and helps families navigate challenges together, developing healthier patterns of interaction.
Brief Solution-Focused Therapy (BSFT) is a strength-based approach to psychotherapy that emphasizes building solutions rather than focusing on problems. This method helps individuals identify their strengths and resources to create practical strategies for achieving their goals.
