I am thoughtful, full of energy, all around foodie and passionate about being a strong advocate for others.
In therapy, we often discuss life experiences and how they shape who we are and guide our paths. My own journey led me to social work, sparked by personal experiences within my family and the people I met throughout my education and career. I hold a Bachelor of Social Work from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) and a Master of Social Work with a specialization in mental health and health from the University of Toronto.
Throughout my career in both the developmental and mental health sectors, I developed a passion for supporting neurodiverse individuals and families, as well as those seeking to feel understood and make sense of their world. Whether you’re looking to reduce stress, navigate a new diagnosis, or better understand social preferences, learning styles, communication differences, or how you perceive your environment, I offer a space that is understanding, genuine, curious, and safe within our therapeutic relationship.
My therapeutic approach is based on empathy, acceptance, understanding, genuineness, and curiosity. I believe that as human beings, we hold all the answers within us, much like a puzzle has all the pieces needed to form an image. Sometimes, we just need someone to help us find and fit those pieces together. I am committed to creating a supportive and safe space where you feel valued and accepted. I believe you already possess the skills, awareness, and knowledge you need as you begin therapy. In our work together, you set the pace, goals, and hopes for your treatment. My aim is to help you build resilience and draw on your inner strengths to navigate life’s challenges.
Therapy can be like working on a puzzle – we move pieces around, uncover them, set some aside until we find where they belong, or turn them until they fit. It may not always be smooth or exciting, but when it comes together, it makes sense. I would be honoured to embark on this journey with you
